Changing account data
Step 1 — Changing Your Email or Phone Number
For security reasons, changes to your email or phone number must be made through direct request.
- Send an email from your current registered email address to kris@vinly.co.
- Include the new phone number or email address you’d like to update to.
If you’re having trouble receiving a verification code, please also reach out to kris@vinly.co for help.
Step 2 — Editing Your Profile
You can update your personal details directly in your profile page.
While signed in, go to https://www.vinly.co/me.
From your profile page, you can:
- Edit your name, title, or description.
- Update your profile picture or cover photo.
- Add or edit link blocks or your unique Vinly URL.
Your updates will save automatically once you confirm the changes.
Step 3 — Updating Your Billing Plan
To manage your subscription or billing information:
- Visit https://www.vinly.co/settings.
Select Current Plan or Downgrade.
You’ll be redirected to Stripe, where you can:
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan.
- Change your payment method.
- Update billing details.
Step 4 — Configuring Notifications
Vinly gives you control over how and when you receive updates.
In the Notifications tab under Settings, you can manage:
Email Notifications
Receive important updates via email, including direct messages (if not sent to your phone).
Space Announcements
Get notified of key announcements within your spaces.
Daily Summary
Receive a daily overview of your conversations and activity.
Space Notifications
Control which spaces send you notifications. You can disable notifications for specific chats or mentions in the Space Preferences section.
Step 5 — Managing Connected Accounts
In the Connected Accounts section, you can link your Google services to enhance your experience:
- Connect Gmail and Google Contacts to sync your network.
- Connect your Google Calendar to display upcoming meetings or automatically join Google Meet sessions.
Step 6 — Adjusting Space Preferences
Under Space Preferences, you can personalize how your dashboard is organized:
- Choose the order of your spaces in the sidebar.
- Customize how you view and access spaces across Vinly.
Step 7 — Account Management and Privacy
The Account Management section allows you to control privacy and account-level settings:
Account Privacy
Make your account private to prevent others from discovering or searching for it. Private accounts can only be contacted directly via email or phone number.
Blocked Users
Review and manage users you’ve blocked. Blocked users cannot message you or interact with your content.
Account Deletion
Permanently delete your account and all associated data, including conversations, settings, and connections.
⚠️ This action cannot be undone.
