Adding Users to a Space or Being Added to a Space

On Vinly, spaces are the core of how communities connect. A space is where members chat, join events, and interact through conversations. There are several ways users can be added to a space—automatically or through an invite.

1. Automatic Additions Through Chat or Interaction

Vinly automatically adds users to spaces when they interact or start conversations with members of that space.

When this happens:

• Public Spaces:

  If a space is public and a user interacts with a member of that space—either through a conversation or by visiting their profile link (vinly.co/o/space/userurl ) and sending them a message—they will automatically be added to the space to continue the chat.

• Starting a Chat with Someone Outside the Space:

  If a member of a space (public or private) creates a new chat with someone who is not currently in that space, Vinly will automatically add the new participant to the space and begin a direct conversation.

2. Inviting Users Manually

Members and admins can also invite others to join a space directly through the invite feature.

How to send an invite:

1. Open your space and select the Invite button.

   Choose one of the following options:

   • Copy Invite Link: Copy the unique space invite link and send it manually to the person you want to invite.
   • Add by Email or Phone: Enter the user’s email address or phone number to send an invite directly from Vinly.

When the recipient accepts the invite, they’ll automatically be added to the space.

3. Joining Through Events

Users can also be added to a space by engaging with events hosted in that space.

When this happens:

• If you RSVP to an event in a space, and the admin of that space sends you a message (for example, to confirm attendance or share event details), Vinly will automatically add you to the corresponding space.
• This ensures that conversations around events stay connected to the space where the event was created.
