Space notifications

Step 1 — Managing Channel Notifications

To adjust or mute notifications for a specific channel:

1. Open your Vinly dashboard on desktop.
2. In Column Two, locate the channel list within your space.
3. Click the dropdown arrow next to the channel you want to manage.
4. You’ll see notification options appear — click the bell icon to mute or unmute that channel.

When a channel is muted, you will no longer receive push notifications or alerts for new posts or @mentions  in that channel.

Step 2 — Managing Chat Notifications

To mute or adjust notifications for direct chats:

1. Go to the chat you’d like to manage.
2. Open the chat window and expand the More Info column (also known as Column Four).
3. Click the bell icon to mute or unmute that specific chat.

When muted, you’ll stop receiving push notifications for new messages from that conversation.

Step 3 — What Happens When You Mute Notifications

When you mute a channel or chat:

• You’ll no longer receive push notifications for new messages or mentions.
• You’ll still be able to view all messages and updates when you open Vinly.
• You can unmute notifications at any time by clicking the bell icon again.

Step 4 — Staying in Control

Granular notification settings allow you to customize your experience — keeping you connected to important updates without unnecessary noise.
